My Favourite Base At The Moment

Hello Everyone!

I recently discovered a new base combo that just works so well, I couldn't not do a post on it!
So enjoy this ramble about my favourite base.

Elizabeth Arden Foundation: Flawless Finish (alabaster)
After I prime my face, I apply the Elizabeth Arden flawless finish foundation, which is just beautiful. I never normally reach for Elizabeth Arden products but oh I have been missing out big time. This foundation allows me to have a flawless coverage without my skin feeling dehydrated, its like a gel cream. So if you like the formula of bare minerals complexion rescue then you will love this because its practically the same except with a load more coverage. 5 stars from me!

Bobbi Brown Brush: Full Coverage Face
To apply my foundation I love to use a dense buffing brush and this Bobbi Brown full coverage face brush does just the job. Its so soft and amazing quality, defiantly worth the price tag. Also it doesnt take away any pigment/coverage away from your foundation it just blends it effortlessly. I could go on about this brush even more but that would be boring.
If this brush isn't in your budget real techniques also do some fab brushes.

Dior Concealer: Dior-skin Nude Hydrating Concealer (001)
Light, hydrating and easy to blend. (notice a theme here) Have I sold it to you yet? Seriously if you don't have this, go and buy it. Its actually a miracle worker (in terms of ticking all the boxes). Yes
its not the highest coverage concealer ever, but it still manages to brighten my dark circles, and trust me that is not a easy task.

Smashbox Powder: Translucent
Daisy and Jordan persuaded me to buy this powder and I'm so grateful that they did. I don't know how to explain it other than, if leaves my skin feeling so silky. It takes away shine yet doesn't make me too matte. It also prolongs the longevity of my makeup so thats always a bonus.

Real Technique's Brush: Blush
The brush I use to apply my powder is the real techniques blush brush. As you can tell by the name, it isn't actually meant for powder but theres no makeup brush rule book (omg if there is one leave a link in the comments haha). The reason why I use a blush brush is because its a lot smaller than a powder brush so its easier to control where I want to put my powder! Not much more I can say about a brush to be honest!

Thank you for reading to the end <3
If anyone has any base makeup recommendations then let me know so I can check them out!

Top 3 Blushers!

Hello! It's Jordan, today I'm going to be talking about my top 3 blushers at the moment! I absolutely love blushers, they are so pretty and come in so many different shades that I love!

The first blusher is Benefits Hervana. First of all the packaging is gorgeous, it's even prettier in real life!
As you can see it's a lovely swirl of pinks, purples and peaches, which come together to create a pretty pink colour, with a slight shimmer. Benefit blushers are amazing, I really want some more! They are £24.50 so a bit pricey, but so worth it!

The next blusher is from Sleek, in the shade Rose Gold. I think that the packaging is a dupe for Nars!
This blusher is stunning. It's more peachy than pink, and very shimmery, but it's not flecks of glitter! Also Sleek blushers are so pigmented and good quality for only £4.49! Also this colour is again a dupe for Nars Orgasm blush.

The last blusher is a Mac Mineralize blusher in the shade Gleeful. Mac have so many colours you will definitely find a shade for you!
This blusher doesn't look amazing in the pan, but on the cheeks it comes out as a gorgeous natural peach with a lovely shimmer running through it! It's really pigmented though, you have to be careful with how much you put on your brush! These Mineralize blushers are £22,  worth it for how good they are!

Really hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon! Bye:)

Tanya Burr Cosmetics (aka perfection)

Hello Everyone!

It has been a while since our last post and to be honest, we have no excuse. However we have decided to have a break/stop doing youtube and to really focus on our blog. We are just to busy at the moment with dancing, year 11 school work and spending time with family to do both!
Anyway, today I'm going to be talking about tanya burrs new range! Im delighted she decided to update her packaging and to add new products as her range looks so much more professional now!
I adore Tanya burr, she is 100% in my top three favourite youtuber's however I actually do love her products as well, they are really good, I'm not just saying it because I love her! (but her being one of my faves does add to my love haha)

The first product I have from her range is her eyeshadow palette in 'hollywood'. Which is a golden themed palette, it is very versatile as you can use it for a natural pretty look or a more brown smokey eye. These are eyeshadows are so pigmented, I dare to say, better than MAC. This palette is so affordable yet the shades are so easy to wear and buttery. I don't think I will ever get other drugstore eyeshadows.

Tanya burr eyeshadow pallete: hollywood

When I use this palette (all the time) I like to put gold coin all over the lid, which is a light gold/champagne colour. This colour is very neutral, I then use bookworm, which is a dark brown, in my crease. I then pack enchantment into the centre of my eyelid, this shade just adds the most gorgeous gold glitter, however it does add some warmth to the look aswell. Finally I use the highlight shade nude delight below my brow bone just to perfect the look. Let me know in the comments what you think of this palette and how you use it!

Tanya burr lipgloss: I found nemo
The next product I have is a lipgloss in 'I found nemo' (not at all influenced by Zoe's tutorial...). As you can see by the swatch, this lipgloss is the most opaque coral. I am yet to find any lip glosses better than these! The pigmentation is just ridiculous ( in a good way might I add). The lip glosses themselves aren't at all sticky, they are moisturising and add a beautiful glossy effect. I couldn't rate them more! The only thing that slightly irritates me is that Tanya changed the scent. NOOOO, I loved the old sent, it smelt like strawberries and cream, however the new watermelon scent isn't unbearable so its all good haha.

Tanya burr nail polish: fairy godmother
This is my final product from Tanyas new collection, and its one of her nail polishes. Amazing eyeshadow palette, beautiful lipgloss, surely she couldn't get a nail polish perfect too? Yes,yes she did. 1 coat of this and you have an opaque pastel lilac/blue. 2 coats isn't a must but I like to do 2 just to make sure. Thats all I can say about a nail polish really, the staying power is also very good, at least 4 days without chipping!

So that is everything, I think. I think that was a long one but at least it will make up for the weeks we have missed. I hope you had an amazing summer and I shall see you soon!

ps, how cute are the names of these products omg Tanya is just too cute,ok I'm done now, byeeee.

Tips For Coping With Exam Stress:

 Hello everyone (Its Ellie<3)

Today I thought i'd do a bit of a different post. Usually we stick to more beauty themed post but I think as it is coming up to 'exam period' this type of post could be really helpful to some people.

TIP 1: This may seem really obvious but make sure you don't over do it.  Revising is very important but so is rest. When you are tired, revising won't help you because you don't take in the information. So it is important to make sure you get a good night sleep, don't stay up till 3am revising especially if you have an exam the next day because you won't be able to concentrate properly.

TIP 2: Following on from the first tip,  plan when you are going to revise! If you don't organise and allow time for revision you will most probably forget to revise and end up getting really worried about the up coming exam. If you have a diary/notebook write in when you're going to revise so you know not to arrange something at that time.

TIP 3: Find a revision technique that works for you, don't just revise the way you think 'you should'. If you find a technique that works for you then you will end up finding revision a lot easier and less of a chore. For me, the best kind of revision is reading and writing lots of notes. I also like to highlight things to make things stand out.

TIP 4: I think its really relaxing to have some 'me time'. Everyday I think its really helpful to have at least an 1 hour to yourself so you can just watch some tv and rest. Personally, having an 1 hour to myself is really key, it helps me wind down and forget about any up coming exams..ect.

TIP 5: Have a hobby that you enjoy. Somewhere you can go to have fun with your friend or something you can do at home which interests you. I go to dancing and whenever I am there, I don't get stressed out about exam's or schoolwork.

Thats all of my tips, let me know if they at all helped you, leave some of your tips for coping with exam stress in the comments if you have any!

Bye x

Drugstore Must Haves:)

Hello everyone!
Its Jordan today, sorry I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, I have been reallly busy! So today I have got together 5 of my favourite products from the drugstore and I'm going to share them with you, hope you enjoy!

My first must have is from Maybelline, and it's the Baby Skin primer in Cool Rose. I really love this primer, it keeps my makeup on a lot longer, and wakes your skin up! Also it comes out a pinky colour, which counteracts redness. They also have this primer in the original, which is clear and reduces pores and oilyness, and in warm apricot which stops you looking so tired. It is £7.99 which I don't think is that cheap for the small bottle you get, however it is amazing and a lot cheaper than Benefits Porefessional. http://www.superdrug.com/Maybelline/Maybelline-Babyskin-Fatigue-Blur-Cream-01-Rose/p/252902

Next is a foundation which I adore, Rimmel Match Perfection. One of the reasons this foundation is so good is because you can really build up the coverage without it looking at all cakey, you can go high coverage with a few pumps, or low with one pump! It also comes in a wide variety of colours and really lasts all day. Its only £6.99 and I think you get quite a lot of product. I would really reccomend this foundation! http://www.superdrug.com/Rimmel/Rimmel-Match-Perfection-Foundation-Ivory-100/p/541564

My third product is this gorgeous blusher from Bourjois and its in the shade Lilac Rose, 33. This comes out as a dark pink, with gold shimmer running through it and I love it! The packaging is so pretty, and its great for travelling because it has mirror and a little brush. Its a bit more expensive becuase its from Bourjois, at £7.99, but its definitely worth it!http://www.superdrug.com/Bourjois/Bourjois-Little-Round-Pot-Blusher-Lilas-D%27Or-33/p/527630

My next product is from Maybelline, and its their Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold. This is a gel cream eyeshadow, and the colour is beautiful! This one is a very shimmery pink colour, but they have loads of other shades including On And On Bronze which I really want! These last all day long with fading or creasing, which is so good. They are really afforfable too, only £4.99! (Couldnt find them on the website but they are definitely in superdrug!)

My last must have is the Revlon Lip Butters, mine is in the shade Candy Apple. These are so nice, they are very pigmented but really hyrdating and glossy at the same time! Basically everything you want in a lip product! They also smell really good. They are £7.99, which I think is good for the quality of them! http://www.superdrug.com/Revlon/Revlon-Colorburst-Lip-Butter-Candy-Apple-35/p/409559

So thats it for this week, I really hope you liked it! Make sure you are subscribed to mine and Ellies YouTube channel, we upload every Wednesday and Sunday:)

Face Of The Day!

Hello everyone!

Its Ellie! Today I'm writing about a makeup look that I have been loving, the products are a mixture of drugstore and high end. Im not going to talk about every products only the ones that I think bring the whole look together.
I really hope you enjoy this post :)

All products used on my face- benefit peek a bright eye loreal brow artist, rimmel stay matte, collection concealer,
mac studio fix fluid,  benefit roller lash, nars orgasm blusher, mac politely pink lipstick, soap and glory solar powder

All of these products together gave me a flawless finish and didn't go cakey throughout the day. Mac studio fix foundation is a really good coverage. It was my first time trying the collection concealer (£3.99!!!) and I thought it was amazing. It doesn't quite out do my beloved rimmel wake me up but it was really easy to blend and I think it gave a decent coverage. Rimmel stay matte is a powder that I always go on about because when you want a matte finish that won't need a top up, stay matte is the one! The loreal brow pencil isn't anything special but for me it does the job and fixes my brows! And finally i used mac politely pink lipstick because this colour is just stunning. Perfect for any skin tone in my opinion.

Benefit peek a bright eye.

This benefit palette is just perfect for a everyday easy wear look. It really does make your eyes stand out and look awake. It also comes with a small booklet that tells you each step and how to use each eyeshadow so its also great for people just starting out with makeup.

Soap and glory solar powder
This bronzer is just insane. I honestly adore it! It is defiantly one of those products that I will always have a back up for. I used to find bronzer really challenging, especially with my pale skin, I could never find the right tone for me. But solar powder is great, and I know many bloggers and you tubers rave about this product!

Nars blusher- orgasm
This blusher was 100% a splurge but it was well worth the price! (£23) It is so pigmented and shimmery. I just love it so much, if you pass a Nars counter, please just go and swatch it because you will love it!

Thats the end of the post, I really hope you enjoyed it! Leave a comment if you did and let me know if you use any of these products :)

My Top 5 Pinky Nude Lip Products!

Hello everyone!
It's Jordan again today, and I just wanted to say I'm so sorry that neither of us have posted in a while, we have both been really busy with school, dancing and YouTube! But this post is going to be my top five pinky nude lipsticks at the moment:)

My first lipstick is this Loreal Collection Prive in the shade Juliannas Nude. First of all I think the packaging is so gorgeous and looks very high end! The lipstick looks quite dark in the packaging, however as you can see from the swatch, its the most beautiful pink, with a really subtle shine. If ou don't like lipsticks that are too glittery, but don't want a matte, then I think this would be perfect for you! It's not at all drying, and for the inexpensive price of £6.99 I think it's definitely worth it:)

My second favourite lip product is the Maybelline Colour Sensational in the shade 832 Kiss Pearl. The first thing I love about this lipstick is the name, it's so cute! It comes out as a very shimmery light pink, so the complete opposite to the last one. I love wearing this if I have quite matte, neutral face and eye makeup becuase I think it really adds a lot of girliness to the look. It is very pigmented which I love, I need to invest in some more Maybelline lipsticks! Also it's only £6.99, so very affordable.

My third lip product is from Benefit and it is the Posie Balm. This a very moisturising, tinted lip balm. Now the packaging of this has to be one of my favourite EVER! It doesn't show how gorgeous it is on camera, but next time you see a Benefit counter make sure you go and look at it and comment how amazing it is! You can't really see the swatch becuase it is so sheer, but I wanted to include it becuase I honestly love it, it leaves a lovely moisturised feel on the lips, and has a light pink/coral colour. It is more pricey than the other two, at £14.50, but it's so amazing I think it's worth it!

Next is my MAC lipstick in the shade Peach Blossom, which is a Cremesheen finish. This is definitely more of nude than a pink, but I think the colour is gorgeous! Its very pigmented, and what I love about the cremesheen finishes is that they are so moisturising and creamy. Also MAC lipsticks smell amazing, like vanilla! This is a very easy colour to wear, you just can't go wrong with it! Again it's a bit more pricey, at £15.50, but MAC products are so good!

My final favourite is a Tayna Burr lipgloss in the shade Aurora. It's the most beautiful pink that comes out quite light, and extremly pigmented! These lipglosses are my favourite ones I have tried becuase they are so creamy and not sticky at all. They also all smell incredible, it's like strawberries and cream, which makes them even more amazing! They are also super affordable for how good they are, £6.99. I love Tanya Burr as a YouTuber too, so thats an added bonus:)

So I think that was a quite a long post, whoops! Hope you enjoyed reading, make sure you come back next week as we are hoping to post a lot more:)
